At least it is at my house. I just disregarded most of my ‘to do’ list for this evening, and found all the witches and scarecrows and trays and rugs and mobiles and the masked and caped Halloween Snoopy. Plus the pumpkin received from my aunt last year that moans and groans on and on.
I got out all the harvest stuff as well, which will stay up until the weekend after Thanksgiving, when Christmas begins.
Then I put them around the house, some in their accustomed places, some in new locations. Don’t want anyone to get bored.
If Labor Day is over, it must be nearly Halloween, that’s my theory. So I’ve already gotten out my hilariously funny Halloween Tarot deck – a visual joke on every card, if you know your Tarot.
Next thing you know, I’ll have started working on one of the harvest / Halloween jigsaw puzzles – you can always tell the seasons by what’s being worked on at the dining room table.
Samhain (pronounced sow-en) is the Celtic name for Halloween time – one of the longest celebrations of the year here at my house. Hope you’re enjoying the season, too.
