So before I can take down last year’s Tibetan calendar, I’ll give you the quote from The Buddha from December.
There are two mistakes one can make along the road to truth…not going all the way, and not starting.
Isn’t that great? And it makes perfectly clear the fact that we each have our own path to the truth of our own lives. Our arbiter is not an outside expert, but our own heart. Our wisdom is already within, and only needs to be invited to speak.
I believe that’s all we’re here for. To pay loving attention, to observe, to see what is in front of us, to react to all of it with compassion. To learn the lessons as they are presented. To love and let go, knowing that the next moment will be equally valuable and full of joy.
In other words, to be happy, simply by seeing creation as it is. Just get started and don’t stop. That’s all there is to it!
