Stayed up late last night, flipping channels. Finally got to see My Hero Barack himself at 11:30 p m from what is clearly now his home soil of Chicago.
I love the way politicians this time around – and I think Barack began it – stand not in front and well above their supporters, but right in the middle and not very high.
It’s fun to watch the supporters that way – what turns them on, makes them wave their signs, shout. And the chants – it was amazing evidence of everyone being on the same page. Barack says ‘Yes – we can’. And the crowd is half a beat behind. Over and over, many different chants. Powerful.
Soul satisfying. Go to Barack’s website or YouTube and watch the video made by fans and supporters. Turned excerpts from speeches into song / rhythm / movement. Pure joy.
The future is there.
