One of my favorite reads is travel narrative – somebody got on some mode of transportation and went somewhere – I have to read all about it. Then again, I also love spiritual biography – although it’s usually not a million laughs, there’s good learning on those pages.

Her journalistic self picks up the the little pieces that define different cultures. The colors and smells of India are right there on the page. And we get an inside look at Bollywood. The spiritual experiences are authentic and vibrate with reality.
