I normally just go get gas when the gauge gets below a quarter tank. And if I’m at a station that sells lottery tickets, I get a Mega Millions ticket for a buck. I hand them a $20 and a single, and that’s it.
I had noticed I was showing up at the gas pumps more often, but hadn’t thought about it. The other day, I didn’t have a $20, so I filled up the tank with my debit card.
I have a tank that holds somewhere between 10 and 11 gallons – a tiny car, a tiny gas tank. And still – it cost me $46.14!
Sure am glad I don’t have a bigger car! and wish I had a smaller one – or perhaps a scooter, which I’ve been thinking about.
Didn’t win on the lottery ticket, either.
P.S. Saving on Duke Energy, I turned off the furnace for the summer – and then had Brian turn off the pilot light and the gas. I’m thinking about turning off the stove – since I don’t use it except for making tea. Maybe I’ll get an electric teakettle.
