June Weather in August

August 17, 2008 By admin

That’s what I was saying a couple of weeks ago, when I was out tennis-ing, watching the Masters Series tournament out by Kings Island. It was wonderful to have cool mornings and evenings, a couple of hours of really intense sun in between.

Now this week, it feels more like September. The total midday intensity is gone, a more mellow feel to the evenings, and even a bit crisp when I was back out at the Tennis Center to watch the Women’s Quarterfinals on Friday. Good tennis, as well, though it’ll be better next year when all the best are not at the Olympics.

But the weather was the talk of the crowd. Jackets in August – most unusual in our river town.
