What a great and pleasant and interesting little movie this is. I am so glad I got to see it. I had heard from lots of grownups that it was excellent. I managed to go with 2 little boys and their grandmother, a friend of mine. I was too busy paying attention to notice how they were reacting, though I did hear their grandmother explaining the parts she thought they were having difficulty with.
My sister had told me about the love story. It was quite wonderful, tender. With almost no language, clear and simple and beautiful. Of course, I was ready to cheer when the humans decided to stand up, take charge, make changes.
I loved Eeva’s change from shooting at anything that moved into a whole being, thoughtful, loving and a risktaker.
Certainly just the right movie for this right time – a convergence of ideas and situations, as we are finally figuring out what harm we are doing with all this trash / stuff. But still a movie, an entertainment. Perfect for the summertime, the ideas will linger.
