I hadn’t been able to get myself to pay much attention to Barack’s vice president. My only thought had been that Chuck Hagel, a Republican senator, would be a Lincoln-esque choice and Lincoln is one of Barack’s heroes.
So this morning, with the choice probably being announced tomorrow morning, I took my pendulum over the New York Times list of potential nominees – a web page of pix and bios. The only one the pendulum wanted to talk about was Joe Biden, a Senator with lots of global experience, and head of the Foreign Relations Committee.
It was not very enthusiastic, but Biden was the only positive. Which I take to mean that it really doesn’t matter very much.
P. S. Pendulum says John McCain is going to pick Mitt Romney. Does anyone know where the name Mitt came from? Probably the same place Biff and Buffy came from.
