Too much thinking – too much busy brain, not enough focus on joy. All the stuff I tell all my friends, colleagues and students not to do – there I was, all stressed out.
I remembered years ago being in Boulder hanging out with friends, went along to their chiropractor, got an adjustment and was advised to take an adrenal supplement. After I got over wigging out about the meat part, I agreed – ’cause I knew my body needed assistance. Didn’t take long to settle everything down again.
When that memory came back as I was thinking about my stress this summer, I went to Clifton Natural Foods and looked around for ideas. I’ve really been back into homeopathy this summer, went to that section, and found Adrenal Support, by NatraBio, in two forms – tablets and a liquid tincture. And read on the label: Providing glandular support for the symptoms of: Stress and Fatigue, Allergies and Hay Fever, Insect Bites and Inflammation. Hadn’t connected all that – but I was being bitten much more this summer (except for mosquitoes, which pretty much leave me alone), and my allergies/sinuses were problematic
So I bought both. Used the liquid when I was home, the tablets when I was out and about. And continued using the Rescue Remedy spray – for stress, and Rescue Remedy cream for bites. Plus, I bought homepathic toothpaste, so as not to antidote the remedy with regular toothpaste.
Everything feels better. Took about two weeks to get real systemic change. Listened to myself mid-week last week, reinforcing with my own words how busy I am – and bought another batch yesterday. In general, homepathy is totally vegetarian, and only nearly-unmeasurable amounts are present of whatever the active ingredients are in any case. But the second batch does say real adrenal – which means some microscopic amount of actual adrenal material.
I’m sure I’ll be in my right / correct mind soon.
