Review: Know Theatre’s Cabaret

August 27, 2008 By admin

Had a great time at the Know Theatre’s first summer cabaret – end of July, early August. I managed to get there the last evening. This musical production was held in the bar, not in the theater, so the ‘crowd’ was small, but sold out.

It was rowdy summer fun, sexual innuendo abounding, two guys, one women, singing with high energy and frenzy, and a piano player who really got into the act.

Very different from the Know’s usual edgy, edgy theater – which I love. Loved What’s the Point? as well – a bit of summer froth, like a trashy novel at the beach.

And – to help you make your Know decision for next year – a grant from the Haile Foundation at U. S. Bank will be used to keep all tickets priced at $12. That means a season ticket will be only $84. So I’m sure I’ll see you there! It’s one of my favorite places to be.
