Pretty fun and exciting! Now the birds and the squirrels, the ants and I all live in / on a Certified Wildlife Habitat!
The National Wildlife Federation (www.nwf.org) certifies properties that provide the four basic elements all wildlife need: food, water, cover and places to raise young, plus sustainable gardening practices. Since the strongest chemical I use is white vinegar to get rid of the grass that tries to grow between the bricks on the patio, the criteria were all met.
I even have a cute sign to put up after I figure out where it should go. Right now it’s on the patio table, leaning against the umbrella pole, under all those drying bunches of peppermint.
It’s a great life for all of us here!
