My friend Pat showed me a website last week rei? rea?, an outlet for lots of stuff, including Teva sandals, which I love. I go from boots to sandals, and have one pair of actual dressy shoes (which are currently getting new heels, and the bow sewed back on – otherwise, I might have to go shopping).
So I found one normal pair, a fair amount of green on them, on sale. Then I noticed a plaid pair, the description said they were green, though they didn’t look it. They had cork soles, which I’ve never worn, and which sounded fun to try. And they were 20 bucks – so I ordered them, too. But when they arrived, there was no green stripe in the plaid. It was black, with a gray stripe, not even a pretense of my favorite color, without which I will not leave the house. Hmmmm. What to do?
Since I also have permanent markers in the many shades of my favorite color, I spent part of this beautiful afternoon turning the gray stripe apple green. Very cool sandals now!
