I have a number of tools / toys that have to do with animal totems. The Medicine Cards rest on the table beside my bed. And then there’s Animal Speak by the late, great Ted Andrews.
The other morning I was looking for a pin to put on a spring jacket. It was near St. Paddy’s Day, so I was looking for one of my Irish pins. But no, my mind and my hand wouldn’t go there. Just kept ending up on this beautiful little jeweled bee a great friend had given me some years ago.
I’m trying to get over arguing with Spirit about what I’m going to wear! So once I realized that’s what I was doing, I stopped. And put the pin on the jacket lapel. Then I decided to check the Druid Animal Oracle, which lists the sacred animals of the Druid / Celtic tradition. And had to laugh out loud.
Bee is all about Community, Organization and Celebration. What have I done all my life but organize communities, community folk, community work? And then gather everyone together in celebration.
Of course, She may also be encouraging me to play and plan my upcoming Important Birthday.
