Somehow the garden didn’t get done this spring nearly as early as usual. I’m often at the garden stores ready to buy impatiens before they’re ready to sell them. Not this year. And I was wondering, little red hen-like, how I was going to get the garden in.
But as per usual, once I was ready to focus on making it all beautiful, productive and peaceful, it has fallen into place! A friend’s brother has been putting in a lot of time – planting veggies and then all the impatiens beds – the front yard bed is really looking like a snake this year – just what I wanted! And today was mulching, and straightening up the steps into the gardens.
We still have some honeysuckle to trim – and I have to buy some more white impatiens for infill in several beds. But it’s clear to see that all is falling into place in a timely fashion, and it will look terrific.
So now I need to focus on the food – and on the weather. Prediction is for it to be a bit hotter than necessary. And I’d like to have drifting clouds to provide light shade on the patio. Can’t wait – parties are fun!
