This hysterically funny play by Shakespeare – Much Ado About Nothing – is, at the end exactly that. but you will laugh harder than you’ve laughed in a long time coming to that conclusion! Two mixed up love stories, a wedding and then not a wedding and then two weddings – and some fine, fine acting along the way. Bruce Cromer, Sherman Fracher – and most especially, a return to the company by Giles Davies (one of the best actors on the entire planet!). Plus very good performances by the rest of the company.
Set in the hippie 60s, there are some sly physical jokes and fun costuming, a Laugh-In scene, an excellent stage set and very smart staging – a lot of the fun is visual and tres fast paced.
The run has been extended through October 2 – so you’ve got time to go play!
I hope you do!
