Switching Over the Computer

November 23, 2010 By admin

Much of the time I can be a technophile – but in switching my old eMac to my new eMac, I definitely switched into technophobe. What if the world came to an end and none of my bookmarks or emails or address book or just plain books or blogs actually came over with me to the other side? Eeeek!

My neighbor PJ was assisting – at UC studying this stuff, has his geek-ness down – and a rock band besides. And learning on this Mac. But we ran out of time the first go-round, so I’ve had two computers on my desk for the last bit of time. Sending emails on one, looking up addresses on the other. He wrapped it up this evening – and I’ll figure out if anything is missing over the next couple of days.

But now I have my Firefox, and can do all kinds of things my Netscape and Panther wouldn’t let me do before. Aaah. And back to writing!
