I love the moon, and meditate on it from the half moon to the half moon – the 9 or 10 days when it’s easily visible in our night sky. And one benefit of the climate-change induced drought that’s just ending is that we’ve had a lot fewer cloudy days.
Last night’s chilly moon had been above the horizon for an hour or so when i went out to sit on the porch, with my chair positioned so I could meditate toward the east with my feet on the porch railing.
The moon and many stars were all caught in the branches of one of the big oaks, just like decorations placed there by The Goddess just for me! The moon slowly moved through the huge oak branches, 60 or 70 feet in the air, while the stars continued to glitter in place.
Spectacular, beautiful, perfect. Thanks, Goddess!
