Reiki Healing Circle, which happens the last Sunday of each month here at my house, is always the same and always different!
We gather at 7, meditate as a group about 7:15, de-brief at 7:30, and then set up the massage table and spend an hour or so with all hands on deck working on whomever is on the table for healing.
As people arrive, they bring great and healthy snacks, and items for the Give Away table, if they’ve by chance cleaned out a bookshelf or a closet. And $20 from those who wish to participate goes into the Give Away Bowl, to be taken home by one lucky attendee at the end of the evening.
We then settle in, sharing any news and updates. The meditation topic is selected by the group – the last several have been more personal and less global. For instance, last night’s was asking for support and help for each of us in achieving our heart’s desire. The lights were turned out, the candles lit, and we meditated for about 15 minutes. The ringing of the Tibetan bells signaled the end of meditation. Several of us then shared the feelings and ideas we had received.
Next up, Michael led the setting up of the table, and 6 of the 11 of us managed to have turns on the healing table over the next hour. Each heal-ee asks for work on perhaps a knee, the throat, or maybe toward being more focused. We work on what is requested, each in our own way. Last evening, Tara had brought a wonderful lavender rose quartz – quite an incredible color – which rested on the heart chakras during the healing sessions.
Much munching and drinking of cider, water and tea occurred in between the sessions, plus a little browsing at the Give Away Table. Then the table was put away and the room put back together, and we did mini-readings, using a divination deck and a Tarot deck. Hanna won the Bowl’s contents.
The driveway was totally full, so the last to arrive had to leave first as everyone unwound themselves from the group and departed. Can’t wait for March’s gathering!
