Besides being a beautiful Spring day – today was Reiki Day for the Cincinnati / Tri-State Reiki Community. For the past 2-1/2 years, we’ve held a Sunday twice a year for the gathering of Reiki practitioners at Grailville in Loveland. Originally, it was held for Reiki Master Teachers only. Now the morning is for Master Teachers, followed by the always healthy and tasty Grailville lunch, and then in the afternoon we are joined by First and Second Degree Reiki folk.
These days are a wonderful mix of the practical and spiritual, and include a wide range of ages of our hands-on healers. On the practical side, we talked specifics about how each of us uses Reiki in our lives, and in assisting others. Also discussed was what other healing modalities we used along with Reiki. We also had a tutorial on how to use the cincinnatireiki.ning.com networking website, which already has 206 area practitioners listed. There were many announcements of upcoming events, discussion of the Ohio Reiki website, and which other cities in Ohio have webgroups (several have Facebook pages, which we do as well).
On the spiritual side, we opened with a meditation, closed with an even better one (if that were possible), sent group distant Reiki to Japan, Libya and Afghanistan, learned a Reiki Mantra practice, held a Reiki Share (several small groups providing Reiki to each other), were treated to Reiki drumming and a Reiju blessing, and now have in our minds and intentions several visions for the future of Reiki to consider.
I’m feeling that good kind of tired – wonderful work well done, tension gone, ready for a peaceful sleep. What a blessing Reiki is! Aaaahhhh.
