Fun Feathers!

April 11, 2011 By admin

So when Karla was doing my hair week before last, she and Sam showed me these little skinny feathers. Sam had three in her hair. I was instantly in love.

Karla thought a white feather would look nice. But I already have a white streak. And besides – you know I wanted a green one. Which I now have. In addition to the fact that I really like the way it looks – makes me happy – I also really enjoy people’s reactions to the skinny little green and black striped feather.

I’ve washed my hair and the feather has stayed in place, perfectly content. It does not, however, care for the curling iron – too much crimp in its tip. I won’t do that again.

And on the way home this evening, NPR / WVXU was discussing how fly fisherman are greatly upset that the feathers they want for making their trout flies are going into our hair. Their supply has been reduced and the price has gone up. Small price to pay, I say – for something so much fun that provides so much pleasure and contentment. As I said – it makes me happy!
