Individuation, Jung and Eastern Thought

April 24, 2011 By admin

The Greater Cincinnati Friends of Jung will be hosting a workshop on Individuation, Jung and Eastern Thought next Saturday, April 30, 9:30 to 1 p m, at New Thought Unity Center, 1401 East McMillan at Grandview – right up the street from me. The presenter, whom I’ve heard speak before, is Jerry M. Ruhl, a Jungian analyst.

He’s going to use the Hindu epic, The Ramayana, as a guide. That’s a 3,000 year old book I know about but haven’t read, so I am excited. Here’s a quote from the flyer: “The story takes a very different approach from the West to the feminine and to evil, and provides unique insights about living through a time when cultural traditions and values seem to be breaking down.”

Sure sounds yummy to me! jungcincinnati.org $35 for members, $45 from non-members.
