Blue, White and Yellow All Over

April 26, 2011 By pgarry

There are bluebells big and small and larkspur all over the back and side yards. And two big bushes of spirea – which my mother used to make our May Crowning wreaths from – in one of the raised beds.

In the veggie garden, last autumn’s kales and collard greens are blooming and going to seed in a blaze of yellow glory, overshadowing the rhubarb and the asparagus. Spring is so fast, one color leading in to the next in a matter of days.

I see what the old saying about spring being a riot of color means – it’s fast and furious!

p s My wonderful corn snake Artemis just had her first meal since October. Life just keeps moving on.
