Time for a backyard and yard in general update. The garden has definitely gotten ahead of me this year, thought that’s true for most everyone in this rainy region. But it’s growing, none the less. In the veggie garden, it’s last fall’s kale and collards that are still growing, while going to seed at the same time.
Up until today, nothing was being dug up or planted. Now the begonia bed is in – and looking fabulous. Hopefully, tomorrow some of the impatiens I picked up from the Greenhills PreSchool on May 7th will be planted! And we’ll just keep forging ahead.
I was going to just turn the entire herb garden over and start fresh – but now the parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme (truly!), which act like perennials in my garden, are up and thriving. So I’m thinking we’ll just take another try at uprooting that fennel that wants to own the entire bed.
Brian found some mulch, so it’s on the driveway waiting for a bed to be planted and ready. It feels so good to finally be moving ahead, rain and cold or no rain and cold.
