The rain has stopped. Brian helped me find a garden helper for this year. And the garden is beginning to come together. Two impatiens beds are done, we’ll finish two more tomorrow, and hopefully get a good start on the big one above the driveway. I may need more plants for that one.
The raised bed by the backdoor is pretty much planted – I could fit one or two more plants if I find something appealing, and I have two fairies tucked into the daisies. The begonias by the steps are in and look spectacular. Lots of other pieces of art to tuck here and there – one of the most fun parts of the process.
The herb garden is spaded and ready, the most of the veggies are on the sidelines. Going to plant actual green beans rather than plants, the seed potatoes need to be cut into chunks, the beets are ready, have to go out in the morning to find collard greens – and just to look around and see what two more garden stores have that catches my eye.
I love Gray Road – Funke’s, Osterbrock’s, Rahn’s. Each different, so it’s fun to look at all of them. I finished up at Osterbrock’s today, so tomorrow is Funke’s and Rahn’s. Then I can begin to sit back and enjoy – just breathe it all in. Yum!
