I am so pleased with myself! I found something new to recycle!
I really already recycle everything I can find. I have a compost heap, so anything recyclable generated in the house, garden or lawn goes there. And the City has paper, bottle and can recycling. Even the little tags from the tea bags go in the paper recycling, after the tea bag itself goes on the compost heap.
But, if you’re like me, and read a bunch of books at a time – and like to mark various pages for quotes or thoughts to return to – there are never enough bookmarks, and I don’t like using stray bits of paper. They are just not beautiful.
So – this year’s birthday provided me with a bunch of ribbon, which I could have put in the wrapping and bag and bow door in the dining room buffet. Then it occurred to me that those wonderful variously colored and beautifully woven ribbons could be cut up into bookmarks.
A pretty much unlimited supply at my fingertips. Hooray!
