Polishing the Glass

June 28, 2011 By pgarry

I love polishing the glass on the big coffee table in the living room. It’s a ritual that I perform whenever clients or groups or classes are coming. It’s now part of my preparations.

First I clear off the coasters, and the Goddess Guidance cards, with the card I’ve drawn most recently on top. Right now, it’s Lakshmi, the Hindu goddess of wealth, with the title Bright Future, and the subtitle “Stop worrying. Everything is going to be fine.” Perfect!

Then I spray the green / no-toxic-chemicals ecological glass and surface cleaner I use, made by Ecover, with the subtitle powered by nature. Next, I use recycled paper towels (which I use for a number of cleanings before I recycle them), go over the entire surface, and then under the edges. All the while I’m mentally getting ready for the folk who will gather at the table for healing, readings, joy.

Then I put the coasters and goddesses back, and lay out what will be needed. Since I’ll be doing readings for clients this evening, I have my big selenite heart, 2 pendulums, my digital voice recorder, and 3 different Tarot decks. It’s hopefully going to be sunny, so I cover the crystals up with the Tarot bags, so they don’t collect all that heat from the big window.

And now I’m ready, since it’s likely I won’t be back until shortly before the readees arrive. Everything feels good!
