I really felt, when Hurricane Irene first became a blip on our radar screens, that She would not be as bad as expected. And even though she’s been awful, she’s not lived up to her hype. Thank Heavens!
Howsomever – the flight my friend Diane and I were to be on to LaGuardia tomorrow at 11 was canceled – no flights available until Thursday! That’s the last day we have US Open tennis tickets for! Eeek!
So now we have to be at the airport in the morning no later than 5:30, for a 7:30 flight to Detroit, then a 9:30 a m flight to Washington National, then a 6 p m commuter flight to New York. : > but we’re gonna get there! Home evening Friday, so I can be at the City Flea bright and early Saturday morning.
Then I’m going to vacation the rest of Saturday and on much of Sunday – just sitting, staring blankly, coming back into the planet when I’ve recovered.
The Open will be wonderful – clear and cool and super fun!
p s This coming weekend is Pippin’s last, at the Carnegie in Covington. Let me tell you – this is a must see on sooooo many levels. Get there!
