There are acorns raining down out of the three big oaks in the yard as though it were a storm. I don’t know what this might be saying about the coming winter, but in my nearly 20 years here, I have not seen the like.
On the more peaceful side of the coin is the wonderful aroma of the autumn-blooming clematis, which is using the support of many trees and bushes to share it abundant white blossoms everywhere.
The clematis usually only appears in a few sparse spots – now it’s making it’s presence felt. Perhaps both are a result of our super-hot and sunny summer. The temporary upside of global warming and our second-hottest every year on record.
