Review: Vitamin Water Zero

October 2, 2011 By admin

I was at an event last night where water was not really available. One of the organizers finally grabbed a class for me, took it to the basement, and got some water. Later on, thirsty again, someone brought me what was available: Glaceau vitaminwater zero.

Many of the 20- and 30-somethings in the place were drinking it. How can they? Ugh. It is truly awful as far as I’m concerned, with no redeeming qualities. Stevia and crystalline fructose – crystalline fructose is just a fancy way of saying corn syrup – here’s what Wiki says: Crystalline fructose is a processed sweetener derived from corn that is almost entirely fructose. The only awful thing it doesn’t have is food coloring – dyes, of which many are carcinogenic. It is colored with vegetable juice. It has reverse osmosis water – basically tap water put through a machine. Not bad, but not spring water, either.

And it has 6 lines of chemical names listed as ingredients. I don’t use those products – nothing with more than 3 lines of ingredients, and all of them in English, that’s my requirement.

Besides – it doesn’t taste good.
