It’s the big day! I love how this town is now so into Halloween – ghosts and goblins and zombies everywhere. My work neighborhood of Camp Washington is really over the top – fun to walk around and see the creativity and fun and general spookiness.
And, of course, I’ve been reading my Halloween Tarot deck since the day after Labor Day – a very sly and funny deck. I read it at the downtown library’s Readings of Another Kind event on Saturday – lots of folks in line! And they were selling books on Tarot and other metaphysical stuff. I remember the days when nothing on metaphysics could be found there. Now books on Reiki and many kinds of spirituality and healing abound.
We in this world are waking up to our Big Spiritual Selves and we’re letting go of our victimhood. So these images of death and dread can be delicious scariness and not a description of how we actually believe the world works. Hooray!
And Tomorrow is the Celtic New Year / First Day of Winter in the ancient calendar. A good day for musing on joy and all that is to come…..
