So all week long, I’ve been thinking about what I need to take to the Victory of Light Expo. And as I figure it out, I pick out the deck or the pendulum or the scarf or the crystal or the table covering and put it in a corner of my office.
So by mid-afternoon this afternoon, I had quite the pile of bags and papers and pens and sign-in sheets and what not. Plus all the tables and chairs, posters and easels in the garage. I had already picked up the posters about the new pick yesterday at Staples, and the books themselves arrived late yesterday on my doorstep.
So at nearly 5 this evening, the car was loaded, and I took off for the basically new Sharonville Convention Center. New entrances, new loading docks, wonderful new chairs (since I’ll be spending the weekend in one of them). I made another pile as I unloaded the car, and then, before setting up, I wandered around and got my bearings. Figured out where the food will be, where the flyers and business cards go, found the bathrooms and water fountain, and where all my friends are, scattered around on the huge floor and then in the smaller room. Didn’t check out the seminar rooms, but found everything else.
My friend Beth Ann, who comes down to work at the Expo each year and stay s at my house, was finished setting up by that time, and so we wandered back to my neighborhood, got some dinner at Suzie Wong’s and will soon be sound asleep.
See you all tomorrow or Sunday!
