Our Writers Group is back at Joseph-Beth’s Bronte Bistro again.? We had met there once a month for years and years to read our writing to each other – listening, supplying ideas, asking questions, sometimes providing pushes over the hump.
Sometime last summer, suddenly there were food errors, lots of Gives Back errors, just generally negative vibes all over the place.? So our group, right now 3 to 5 writers each time, took ourselves other places – like Don Pablo’s across the parking lot at Rookwood (tres noisy) and Green Dog in Columbia Tusculum (tres hard bench seats – Writers Group can take 3 hours or more).
So we returned to J-Beth this evening – to a wonderful young guy server, who spent the evening paying close attention to our variable requests and menu amendments.? He made up for everything – so we’re going to make that our writing home again.
P.S.?? The writing was great, too -? Terri read from her journal, Kathleen added another episode to the God Blog, and I read yesterday’s blog about the difference between tenacity and stubbornness – apropos, since we needed to decide which quality we were demonstrating in continuing to search for another writing home.
It’s good to be back!
