Better get moving if you want to go play with the butterflies at Krohn Conservatory in Eden Park!? They will be done soon, though the time has been extended a bit past the original June 24 closing date.
My adopted daughter Susan and her beautiful red-headed daughter, my granddaughter Bryce, 16 months old, went to visit a couple of weeks ago.? Bryce was fascinated, and learned quickly how to hold the piece of cardboard that looked like a flower so that a flutterby could land on it.
She’s also gotten quite good at climbing and was ready to follow them everywhere.? The place was full of kids of all sorts and ages, charging forward in their butterfly quests.? Lucia, the daughter of another friend, just about a year old and not yet mobile, was fascinated, too, but couldn’t get as up close and personal as Bryce was.? Next year will be Lucia’s big treat.
And what fun to have a granddaughter to play with!? Can’t wait for the zoo!
