Cleaning Up and Cleaning Out

June 20, 2012 By pgarry

The garage – you know how they are – they just gather clutter.? And some of son Brian’s stuff had managed to migrate over – like sheets of roofing samples, musical instruments, art supplies – and paper: lots and lots of paper.

So it was all piled a mile high and a mile deep.? Some of the spring rain got into the garage.? The whole mess was getting untenable – so like it or not, whether I had enough time or not – it had to go.

Friend Shaheen got back from his winter quarter co-op in Manhattan, and was ready to clean again.? So we’ve been tackling a lot of it while he’s been here, with me de-cluttering, making choices, freestore-ing and recycling what we’ve sorted out when he’s not here.

I nearly have a garage again – more will be cleaned out this weekend.? And it sure feels better – body, mind and spirit!?? Aaaaaahhhhhh.
