Our Western & Southern Masters Series 1000 Tennis Tournament is world class.? I always knew that, from the looks, and feel, and the enthusiasm of the players.
When my friend Diane and I went to the US Open last year for their big, fabulous tournament, we compared very favorably – we are a little smaller, a fair amount cheaper, could use a few more bells and whistles, but the same good energy, fun, tons going on all at one time.
Then when we went to Toronto for their Masters Series 1000 a couple of weeks ago – same level of tournament – not much energy, not much food, not much shopping, not much space – I was even more impressed with us.
And during the televised men’s final today at the W&S, national commentator Mary Carillo flat out said – if you can’t make it to the US Open – come here!? And she’s absolutely right, especially this year – the food court is drastically updated and huge, the shopping is reorganized and even more fun, lots of places to hang out, 4 courts with all the eletronics and televising capabilities (same as the US Open).? So much fun going on.
You’ll save some money, get even closer to the players when they’re practicing, meet lots of friendly non-Cincinnatians, hear lots of world languages, read a number of unpronounceable names.? It’s All Good!
