Another Hummer Reminder

September 2, 2012 By pgarry

Just a while ago, my son Brian and I were eating dinner, and working on a project of his, when I noticed a hummer hanging in front of the big window.? I knew the 3 hummer feeders had nectar, so I was puzzled.? But the hummer continued to hang there.

So I went out to check – and indeed there was still liquid in the feeders.? But the rain had watered it down, and it was no longer the rich golden color the hummers want right now, to prepare them for their thousands of miles journeys south.

I instantly turned on the tea kettle, got out the organic sugar and the measuring cup, and made nectar.? I let it sit for half an hour to cool down, while I emptied and washed the feeders.

All is well now in hummer land.? I love how they are so clear about what they need, and ask for it persistently.? They are also confident that their needs will be met, full of expectation and not despair.? An excellent set of spiritual lessons there!
