As I was teaching a student about Tarot last week, I suggested she do a reading for me, not just the ones for herself.
Using the Halloween deck – I just love it! – she shuffled and I picked the seven of Ghosts (cups), 3 of Imps (wands) and King of Pentacles.? My read would be about being emotional, success and changes in the physical world.? So I would say to myself – stay calm, don’t be roiled by emotions, you are successful, be on the lookout for positive changes in finances and work.? Enjoy.
Her reading for me talked about me as the warrior coming home from the battle, receiving lots of support, about men in my life, about being blessed by the moon, being a teacher.
With the Celtic Faerie Wicca deck, I picked the 8 of Domhan (pentacles) Ridire of Tine (wands), Four of Uisce (cups) and The Holy Stone.? My read would be myself as a happy teacher, having achieved my goals by working hard, feeling blessed and grateful.
She was fascinated by the salmon (most important of the Celtic power animals) turning in the water, and by Irish hero Cuchulainn in the cards.? She saw a bright future, again with a guy, and me stepping through the doorway to new possibilities.
Clearly, she knows Tarot much better than she thinks she does, and is doing a combination of reading the cards, and receiving direct information from the Universe about their specific meanings in a specific reading.
It’s fun to be read by someone else!
