Gratitude

November 23, 2012 By pgarry

I know this is how I’m supposed to feel on Thanksgiving!? But super Gratitude is how I’m feeling right now.

When I stop to pay attention, I always realize I have at least an 85% perfect life.? Like today – I got up and wrote a bit, and then picked up my daughter-in-law for lunch.? I got to see her new house, then we stopped by Patrick Keegan’s – she dropped off some clothes, I dropped off the Enquirer comics I save for him, plus his triple A card for 2013.

We went to lunch at Django, the new Mexican / taco place in Northside.? While we were there, most of the neighborhood wandered by, and a cherry picker raised up, so the guy in it could uncover the brand new sign.? There are 14 new signs in the ‘hood today – all gorgeous, all by different folk, all commonly themed and unique.

Then we went back in to eat.? It is a great place!? Lots of carnivore, vegetarian, vegan options and concepts.? Including a Mexican version of bibimbop – the Korean/Asian dish I could live on.? They serve a lot for not very much – so I have tomorrow’s breakfast and/or lunch waiting in the fridge.

We tried to go to Building Value right around the corner – they were closed today.? And we would have had lunch at Ko Sho, Northside’s Japanese place, but it was closed.? All the parking lots in the community were free today – a nice surprise!

After I dropped off Angela, I stopped at Clifton Natural, since it’s right on my way home – I love how convenient my life is!? I meditated / napped for about half an hour when I got back, and since it was still daylight, I got the rest of the Christmas stuff out of the garage.? I spent the last hour before dark getting a start on clipping the asparagus cloud and putting it on the compost heap, and cut some collard greens to heat for dinner as well.

Now I’m going to write and eat and play with Christmas the rest of the day.

I’d say this day was 100% perfect.? Thanks, Universe!
