I shouldn’t even tell you about this play, since it’s just finished its run.? But it was hysterical and great!?? Jeremy Dubin played John Worthing, Brent Vimtrup was Algernon Moncrieff, the two main characters.? The very tall and just plain big Jim Hopkins played Lady Bracknell – and the leading ladies were Sara Clark and Jessie Wray Goodman.? There was talent all over that stage.
This is an Oscar Wilde play, set late in the 19th century in England – just when and where he was writing it.? The aristocracy, the lower classes, the clergy – all are gently and happily skewered, and all come out of it pretty well.
More juicy lines in here than anyone except Shakespeare himself.
Some other acting company somewhere in the region will do this play again soon.? You should go see it, if you’ve never seen it before.
If you have seen it before, then you should wait until Cincy Shakes shakes it up all over again.? Superb!
