I bought – I think? – the last present I actually had to go shopping to buy.? A Mikata cordless electric drill for my grandson.? He’s a college senior, but his Christmas list looks like he’s a carpenter.
Although I have two friends I may have to run up to 10,000 Villages to shop for on Saturday afternoon.? But that would just be fun and right up the hill.? I may do that anyway.
The making of the Christmas bread is well underway.? I’ve already made and given away 5 or 6 batches – 3 loaves per batch.? The biggest push is for my sister’s family gathering on Christmas Eve – 10 to 14 loaves will be needed there.?? Always fun and wonderful.
So this will be a weekend of bread baking and present wrapping.? And hopefully getting the Christmas tree done to perfection.? I took it out of the plastic bags it lives in during most of the year.? And it looks good – but I can see where this and that needs to be rearranged, where there are no lights in one space and too many in another.
It’s all good.? And feels good in the doing.?? The music, the lights, the aroma of baking bread.? Aaaahhhh.
