Kinda neat to have our family name for a tropical cyclone in the southern Pacific ocean. It is currently 475 nautical miles east of Pago Pago, American Samoa.
The radar tracking images on the wunderground website are not very helpful, nor is the verbiage. There’s nothing I can easily figure out from their maps either – no locations are named. so I just got my globe down, and from the shapes can see that Garry is east of Australia and New Guinea and above / north of New Zealand. It’s actually in a part of the Pacific where there are a lot of islands and countries, like Polynesia and the Marquesas.
So I hope the storm has a good time, but doesn’t damage or destroy any people or beautiful places.
