So I started to feel achy, tired, cranky on Friday, as soon as I woke up. I luckily had a light schedule of meetings, and so stayed home most of the day, and indeed most of the weekend. Just made it to one important meeting Friday afternoon.
The other thing I did was take Oscillococcinum – a wonderful homeopathic flu remedy available at your nearest health food store. The really groovy thing about homeopathy is that there are no side effects period. No long list of serious and awful possibilities. I do not know how mainstream folk can even tolerate those insane commercials on television.
Australia, Europe, many, many places on the planet, homeopathy is widely used. All places with better levels of health than Americans, and much lower costs for health care.
I could go on for days – maybe I’m still a little cranky! But I never did get actually sick, just by taking this remedy and taking it easy. It’s now also sold at other places, like CVS, in a box with orange on it that looks identical, and is much cheaper. Which doesn’t really feel fair to me, but I buy it from CVS much of the time, rather than from a health food store. That makes me a little cranky, too.
