So yesterday it was 60, and rained hard a lot of the day. The wind grew to be ferocious. In the middle of the night last night, the sound was like a freight train on the driveway. But it was still warm enough this morning that a chipmunk was out in the garden under one of the feeders gathering goodies for the family – until a squirrel chased him away.
By the middle of today, the temperature was right around freezing, but the windchill was enough to make it feel like 15 or so. And now it’s dropping down to 9 by morning, so the weather folk say. Very cold, then sort of cold over the weekend, maybe snow – but back up to decent early spring temps early next week.
I remember when the weather was predictable, expected. That is so not the case any more. I did enjoy the two days in the 60s, though it was heard to find light weight enough clothes to wear.
Now I’m remembering how many days above 90 we had last summer. This is not making me happy.
