Author Review: Janet Evanovich

April 10, 2013 By pgarry

During my recent binge of mystery reading, of course the pile contained a Janet Evanovich. Is anyone today funnier (or sexier?) than Janet?

I always end up laughing out loud in my own house all by myself. This one was one of the romance novels she wrote in the early 90s, before she discovered screwball hysterically funny and sexy mysteries.

The Rocky Road to Romance is a great story of a series of awful events that keep turning out just right, so that our overworked and poor heroine ends up on top of the heap, after we have laughed so hard our ribs ache. Daisy Adams, her 14-year-old brother Kevin, Steve Crow and Steve’s brand-new dog Bob, are as real a crew as you will ever find, with wacky situations every couple of pages.

Next time you need to laugh – this is it! : >
