Green and Growing

June 7, 2013 By pgarry

The backyard is looking great – and the veggie garden is growing apace! Amazing how fast the collards and kale have settled in. The herb garden is stuffed – so much over-wintered. It’s all good!

There are still more flowers to put in – I’ve added begonias – so one impatiens bed is now just begonias. And switched to New Guineas, since our usual ones succumb to mildew and just disappear now. Global warming is allowing parasites to thrive – for flowers, for frogs – tipping the balance in the wrong direction.

But as long as I just look out the back door, all is well!
