Solstice

June 26, 2013 By pgarry

I love the Solstice, all the shifting seasonal patterns, and the ancient rituals which embrace all of the natural rhythms of our lives.

This was a quiet Solstice for me. My monthly massage with my psychic massage therapist fell on that day, and there were some great messages. Otherwise, it was a very beautiful and peaceful day.

And it’s just now, several days later, that the light starts to shift, with the day getting shorter by a few seconds. By the end of August, those few seconds will be very noticeable. The dark will arrive much sooner in the evening, and leave later in the morning. Right now, the birds start their twittering and muttering about 4:30 a m here in the woods. That all starts to shift as we head toward the dark.

And then the Winter Solstice, and we switch all over again. Amazingly beautiful patterns we are blessed with. : >
