There is so much to do get ready for winter… my list seems to be getting longer.
The top of the driveway, where it curves into the garage, gathers all the leaves – they blow off the rest of the drive and end up in the big square at the top. I’d like to get this first raking done, bundled up and deposited on the compost heap. Chances are the next raking will be easier and quicker.
Then there’s cutting the asparagus stalks, all the weeds that didn’t get whacked, cleaning out the herb garden, dealing with the invasive purple sushi wrap that has gone wild. And deciding whether to let the collards grow through the winter – or at least as long as they can. Raking the lawns is important, too.
A lot is already done inside – just have to put the plastic over the big air conditioner window, and the exhaust fan.
And – it is a super gorgeous day, so let me go get started!
