So – the last St. Patrick’s Day mystery for 2014. St. Patrick’s Day Murder is a Lucy Stone mystery by Leslie Meier, another writer who has quite a collection of holiday mysteries – which, along with those of Iris Crawford, I will be exploring as holidays approach and my need for a fix reappears.
I had actually read this one last year, and found it just as intricate this year – and this time could admire her skill in placing clues in plain sight, but going largely unnoticed. She is a writer who follows several strands at once, with the busy life of protagonist Lucy Stone thrown in for good measure.
This is a good mystery, gives us a great picture of life in small town Maine – late winter in this case. Fun!
