So….two trips on Thursday – one to Half-Price Books in Kenwood, and then, on the way back, a stop at Whatever Works Wellness and White Willow Tai Chi Center.
Whatever works is somehow not really on my usual path, so I had not been there in a long time. And what I was attracted to was Tarot decks – pretty surprising to me, since I have so may already.
And I ended up buying two decks that I used to have, and a deck and book set to give to my Florida sister for Christmas!
There were two other decks there that I have already given to Kath – both about mermaids. And now she will get as a present the Ocean Oracle – What Seashells Reveal about Our True Nature. She loves seashells. I hope she loves her present.
The two decks I re-bought are The Chinese Tarot Deck and Sacred Path Cards. I had the Chinese deck for a long time, but somehow never got the Cups, represented by Ghosts. And other symbols were not clear to me, intuitively or logically. Yet it felt right on Thursday to buy them and try again. So I did.
The Sacred Path Cards, by Jamie Sams, who is co-writer of The Medicine Cards, one of my very favorite decks, also spoke to me of past lives. But someone, I can’t remember who, came along one day and fell in love with the deck, so I passed it on. Now it wants to be back – so we’ll see if it wants to communicate past-life wise, or in a different way.
A very good shopping trip. Made me happy!
