Our trip to Half-Price Books resulted in several other spiritual purchases.
I bought several books not about Reiki at HPB, including Shakti Gawain’s Meditations (she was one of my favorite authors back in the day when I first started on my spiritual path), which I’m going to read a bit of every day ’til it’s done, and two copies of Mike Dooley’s Leveraging the Universe (he’s my major current guru, though he certainly doesn’t use that title!).
Half-Price Books, as I didn’t know (but could have figured out if I had thought about it), has lots of stuff besides used books (including some jigsaw puzzles, which I did not choose).
I also bought a Vrindavan Activity Set – a fold-out temple and altar for kids 3 to 13, all about Lord Krishna, Hindu beliefs and life around a temple.
And I bought The Runes Pack by Horik Svensson – looks very similar to Ralph H. Blum’s The Book of Runes, which first popularized the Norse Runes to spiritual / New Age folk many years ago. Just scanning the runes and the deck, there are definitely changes. I’ve often not worked with Runes because of the negativity of Blum’s book – everything is hard, sacrifices, watch out, don’t move.
A quick glance here tells me there is a definite shift of energy. So these runes will be fun to play with. I’ll report back!
